The present lodge building at Dawson City was built in 1904 with a $25,000.00 grant from the Carnegie Foundation to become a library for the City of Dawson. In 1920 the building was damaged by a fire. Due to the fire damage and high operational costs the library was closed and in 1934 the building was sold by the City of Dawson to Yukon Lodge No. 45 and has since been used continuously by them. In 2000 the foundation of the building was stabilized and complete renovations of the facility are planned
over the next few years.
