Manson Creek Cemetery
Fitzgerald cairn
Manson Creek Cemetery
No information currently available. A full survey is planned for 2020. A cairn commemorating Gold Commissioner, William Henry Fitgerald, is situated roughly 500 metres north of the cemetery on Omar Road, near the original Gold Commissioner's cabin, now the Ominica Museum. Although there is no masonic emblem on the cairn, Fitzgerald's was the first masonic funeral held in Canada's north, and the cairn was erected by Freemasons in 1939. [HISTORY PDF]
