Born in Ayr, Scotland where he joined Freemasonry, James Harvey McKergow immigrated to Canada and worked as a chartered accountant.
For his services to Freemasonry in Washington State specifically his support of Walter F. Meier Lodge of Research No. 281, in Seattle where he served as Worshipful Master for the 1958-1959 masonic year the Grand Lodge of Washington elected him Honourary Past Grand Master in 1956.
Returning to homeland, MW Bro. McKergow died in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1966.
