The all-seeing eye. Unethical medical experiments. Sodality. Collar regalia. Grand Master.
Anatomie (2000)
A student member of the Anti-Hippocratic Society starts a killing spree that ends with the death of the Grand Master and the exposure of the society. Talking about the Society, Paula Henning, played by Franka Potente, refers to "Experimental killing of the few to ensure the survival of the many." She then displays an old etching of mediaeval medical experiments, saying: "I couldn't find any specifics except that it’s a secret society. A cross between the Freemasons and a college fraternity... [00:40:56] ... with old rituals, a lodge, the whole thing."
Stefan Ruzowitzky, in the DVD commentary, says: "The highly theatrical scene of the lodge meeting...this scene was criticized for being too over the top. But I swear all those secret societies have even crazier rituals. They've got these funny robes and code words. Really, I would say that we more or less downplayed it. Otherwise nobody would've believed us."

Franka Potente, Benno Fürmann, Anna Loos, Sebastian Blomberg, Holger Speckhahn, Traugott Buhre. Directed and written by Stefan Ruzowitzky. AKA: Anatomy. 103 min. Germany, German / Latin. Color, Dolby. (Horror) *
