James Ford Garden February 19, 1847 - December 8, 1914 Originally from Upper Woodstock, NB, James Ford Garden served as Vancouver mayor for 1898-1900. As an engineer, Garden influenced the development of the city’s infrastructure: an early street car system, sidewalks, road grades and water connections.
