Alexander Bethune January 1, 1852 - June 10, 1947 Originally from Peterborough, Ontario, Alexander Bethune served as Vancouver mayor for 1907-1908. A shoe merchant, Bethune had served five years as alderman before being elected mayor. Founding member of Acacia Lodge No. 22.
