Midsomer Murders
Charles King, as Worshipful Master of the lodge, is practicing his memory work while James Taylor acts as Tyler, guarding the door. It would be unusual in the real world for a lodge practice to be conducted in full regalia, and even more unusual to tyle the door and keep other lodge members out.
Charles King: "Here in the Worshipful Lodge of the Vale of Midsomer, I do hereby solemnly promise and swear, that I will always hele, the secrets, parts or points of a mason..."
Camera cuts to outside the lodge room.
James Taylor: "The Worshipful Master is rehearsing the third degree. He is not to be interrupted."
Peter Baxter: "Don't be ridiculous."
James Taylor: "You can not enter the temple in a state of undress."
Peter Baxter: "You get out of my way!"
Baxter and Taylor enter the lodge room.
Charles King: "...murder or treason excepted." [00:13:00]
Jones later attends a lodge meeting, where he discovers that Baxter is a member and that Ian, the late Alan King's son, is being entered as an apprentice. [00:46:00]
