Midsomer Mysteries
The inside of the lodge hall, laid out in preparation for an apprentice degree. While the checkered flooring, the square and compasses, the trowel and the cabletow are all masonic symbols, the crossed shovel and pick axe are a curious addition. The arrangement of the square and compasses in the Master Mason position is also an indication that the authors of this work of fiction were either unfamiliar with masonic usage, or were intentionally dissembling.
