Yellow Submarine (1966)
Directed by George Duning
This acclaimed animated fantasy utilizes all manner of geometric shapes so there can be no great significance to the infrequent use of five-pointed stars. They appear as a pattern of star fish, the buttons on a control panel, a pattern behind Las Vagas style dancers and held by the Nowhere Man and the Blue Meanie in the closing sequence.

Yellow Submarine. Voices of John Clive (John), Geoff Hughes (Paul), Peter Batten (George), Paul Angelis (Ringo) Inspired by music by the Beatles. Directed by George Duning, Dick Emery, written by Erich Segal. 1966. 87 min., colour. UK.
