Secrets of Chinatown (1935)
The "magic eye of Lao Tsee" medallion, depicts a symbol "that holds the secret of the most mysterious of all the yogi matters". [00:02:20] Note that the eye sits atop a mountain, not a pyramid; and that it is not contained within a triangle. This eye with radiating, flashing lines may be taken from the long out of print novel, The Black Robe by Guy Morton.
Lucile Browne
Zenobia refers to herself as the "eye of Lao Tsee," his servant, although her rôle in the "black magic" ceremonies of his "satanic" and "mysterious" opium ring is unclear. [00:27:20]
