Figure 17: all-seeing eye, and pyramid as derived from the USA seal depicted on their dollar bill. Kilgore Trout, played by Albert Finney, has this image hanging in his cluttered warehouse home. The use this symbol may be an iconographic shorthand used by the set designer to identify Kilgore with the less rational fringe of counter culture thought which promotes a paranoid alternative view of history.
