Founded by brethren drawn north to the goldfields, many from California, this lodge practices the Ancient, or American, Work. One of British Columbia's oldest active lodges, Cariboo Lodge No. 4 received its original warrant, No. 469, from the Grand Lodge of Scotland on 2 September 1867. Situated in the historic goldrush town of Barkerville, this lodge still meets regularly on the second Saturday of each month with the exception of January and February when it is in darkness.
Annual Reunion
One of the highlights of every summer is Cariboo No. 4's annual Reunion and Barbeque when brethren from widespread jurisdictions throughout North America and other continents come to Barkerville for a weekend of fellowship and fraternity. For more information concerning the schedule for this year's reunion please consult the programme.
