America's Book Of Secrets, Episode 9: "Freemasons" (2012)
Yet another example of television's role in devaluing history to the intellectual level of the, now defunct, supermarket tabloid, Weekly World News, one episode of this History Channel series claimed to expose the secrets of Freemasonry:
"For centuries, the Freemasons have been thought to be the architects behind the world's greatest international conspiracies. But more elusive than the organization itselfare its secrets. Secrets that have remained untold...until now."1
There is nothing new presented in this "documentary". From the recycled image of the stain glass window at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA, to the often claimed but never documented accusation of a global agenda, no further facts are added to the discussion and the usual unproven opinions and accusations are trotted out without any attempt at analysis or evaluation.
