Provincial Supreme Court Judge from 1971 until shortly before his death, Nick Mussallem was a compassionate and vigilant defender of civil rights.
An active freemason, he was an honorary member of ten lodges, as well as maintaining his membership in his mother lodge and serving as master of the Vancouver Lodge of Education and Research.
Fellow freemason, and later a Provincial Supreme Court Judge, R.W. Bro. H. A. D. Oliver wrote a panagyric to Bro. Mussallem’s memory, published in The Advocate a publication of the Vancouver Trial Lawyers Association.
