Fleshmarket Close (2004)
While not a masonic reference, a common expression often identified with freemasons can be found twice in this novel:
"Just wanted to check that she was on the level." [p. 238]
"When Storey came to see me, he said he thought I was on the level because he knew my reputation..." [p, 292]
In the sixth installment of the Rebus films starring Ken Stott as Rebus (Rebus: Flesh Market Close, 6, 10 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006, BBC America), no masonic references are reported.
