1858 - September 8, 1917
Arriving in Vancouver in 1887, Robert Alexander served as Vancouver mayor for 1894.
Anderson was elected alderman for 1892-93. A realtor, once elected mayor he continued layoffs of civic employees begun the year before by Cope and established a relief committee to assist those out of work. A water committee was formed and milk inspections were instituted during his term.
He buried in an unmarked grave outside the Masonic Section of Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver (Jones Section, Block 46, Plot 005, Lot 0001).Ê
