August 25, 1885 - November 7, 1936
American humorist and vaudeville actor, "Chic" later appeared in motion pictures as a character actor, including The Star Witness; The Expert; and When a Fellow Needs a Friend. In 1929 he published a small book entitled The Specialist, an humorous account concerning outdoor toilets, which sold over 200,000 copies in three months and is still in print.
