Charter member of the Board of the Bank of Canada from March, 1935, President of Vancouver’s Board of Trade, life governor of the General Hospital, founder and patron of the Little Theatre, and president of Woodward Stores, Billy Woodward also served as provincial Lieutenant-Governor from 1941 to 1946.
His father, and founder of Woodward Stores, Charles Woodward, was also a freemason.
